A string of gigs followed through the year with talented guitarist
Adam
Busiakiewicz,
including The Women In Music Festival in Birmingham, The Surface
Unsigned Festival where the band once again received fantastic
live reviews for three performances, The Carling Academy Bar
with special guest drummer Belle (Killing
Miranda/Lahannya) and The Borderline supporting Die
So Fluid and Mab.
Anna-Christina and Adam
also played a special acoustic show together. This time with
only 2 guitars, the set was made up of some familiar songs
like Moonlight and a new flamenco version of Peace Of Mind
as well as a long awaited cover song from Hedwig And The Angry
Inch. The set was completed with "Wicked Little Town"
Hedwig's version, which Anna-Christina had been going on about
doing for ages!

was an amazing year for Lilygun.
The band was joined by special guest drummer Robin Guy (Rachel
Stamp) for a few shows including Gotham Festival at
Islington Academy where they received fantastic reviews and
they began to record their debut EP.
Recorded at the famous Britannia Row Studios - it's the direct
descendent of the original Pink Floyd's studio, Anna-Christina
and Piranha took full control of the recording, both taking
part in engineering, recording and mixing.
Conversations was launched at Electrowerkz in August which
earned Lilygun another great write-up in Devolution Magazine
and Roomthirteen, followed by air play on Radio Nightbreed
and on Radio
Rheinwelle in Germany
on The John Peel Show. For the last show of the year, they
supported Lahannya and were spotted by Tony Pettitt (Fields
of The Nephilim/NFD)
and Stephen Carey (formerly
of Ireland’s This Burning Effigy) who asked them
to support their band, The Eden House, on their tour in 2010.
And finally this year has seen the band supporting Anna-Marie
Hurst at the Scala, again
earning an excellent write-up and
The Eden House in Colchester and Bristol. Their first EP,
'Peace Of Mind' was launched at the Bull+Gate (for Phil Avey's
last show promoting) May
30th and suddenly all songs available for download by Lilygun
have been selling like hot potatos. Lilygun
are in demand and it seems like the years of hard work are
finally beginning to pay off.
Anna-Christina
has an unbelievable story to tell.
A story that continues...
