It is with regret that I must announce that Lilygun will NOT be playing this evening. My voice has still not recovered from the Laryngitis and I'm not able to sing and the last thing I want to do is cause any damage. So sorry about it but hey, you should all go down to the Bull+Gate in Kentish Town this Thursday 18th for Aaron John's show at 9pm for your Rock fix for the week. It had been said that the 17th would be Lilygun's last gig of the year but the band have decided to play another show at The Purple Turtle Bar in Camden on 7th Dec. Details have been posted on the Gigs page already and please make sure you have flyers with you because if you don't, the door price will be £10, however if you print off the attractive santa flyer, entry is only £5!

Lilygun's last gig of this year has been confirmed and will be at The Dublin Castle in Camden on Wednesday 17th December at 8.30pm. Check the Gigs page for all the details. The band are also planning to record some new demos for their myspace over the next few months and one of the songs they'll be recording is the new song, which has gone down a blast at the last 2 shows, Conversations.

Third Anniversary Of A Miracle!
Today is my second birthday for the year, I'm 3 years old! I'm extremely lucky to still be here, making music and able to continue with Lilygun. Over the years I've worked hard to develop what Lilygun is. As many of you know this band is unusual in so many ways. To name but one, my constant struggle to find the right players, which brings me to the point... Lilygun will be playing live again next month with a new line-up. Though Lilygun's set last night was unwillingly cut short due to the shabby stage management, Lilygun came on stage with all guns blazing! Heavy, slightly tipsy and totally ballsey, Lilygun were a force to be reckoned with. The most fun gig of the year so far for us all!

Next week is a week of two extremes for Lilygun. First there's the Jar Music Showcase happening on Tuesday where the band will be Rocking out in their normal classy style but then Anna-Christina and guitarist Adam Busiakiewicz are playing an intimate unplugged set on Thursday evening at Finnegan's Wake 9pm. Although Lilygun have performed unplugged sets in the past, this evening will be of a different kind again.
This time, with only 2 acoustic guitars and 2 singers, the set will be made up of some familiar songs like Moonlight and the new flamenco version of Peace Of Mind as well as an old song that some of you may remember from back in the day called "Sick Of You", a few other songs and a long awaited cover song from Hedwig And The Angry Inch. The set will be completed with "Wicked Little Town" Hedwig's version, which Anna-Christina has been going on about doing for ages! Full details of these next 2 gigs have now been posted.

News About Radio Session
Lilygun's radio session will now be pre-recorded at The Rivergibbs Studio on Thursday 23rd July and aired for the first time on Saturday 2nd August at 11am and Monday 4th August at 8pm (uk time). Anna-Christina and guitarist Adam Busiakiewicz will be playing acoustic versions of Moonlight, Peace Of Mind (a flamenco version), Mind & Soul and Under Your Skin which is a similar set to what the band played at The Women In Music Festival earlier this year.
Dj Phil Orange will also be interviewing the pair and finding out what's install for the rest of the year for Lilygun. This should NOT be missed!

Happy May Day everyone! Lilygun have been invited by The Talent Scout to play a last minute gig at Storm tomorrow evening. The band will be joined by special guest Aaron John. This weekend Lilygun have been invited to play at the Women In Music Festival 2008 in Birmingham. The band will be playing an intimate unplugged version of 'Peace Of Mind', 'My Ways',' Moonlight' and 'Diamonds' at The YardBird Jazz Club this Sunday. This is a celebration of women not just in the music industry but also the world of fashion, dance and business. So for all of you that live in Birmingham or can find your way there... Go and support the ladies of the realm ~ 12.30pm-7pm, Lilygun will be performing at 5pm.

Surface Unsigned Festival 2008
Lilygun have entered The Surface Unsigned Festival 2008.
Round One commences on Monday 25th February at The Boston Music Room 10.15pm. Lilygun will be headlining the first evening of 7 bands. Tickets are available at Lilygun gigs for only £6.

The Surface Unsigned Festival is an annual music industry event providing a gateway for artists to perform on international stages in front of industry representatives. The Festival brings together all aspects of the UK music industry and is a major event in the unsigned music calendar.In 2008 Surface Unsigned Festival events will be held in the North (Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds), the Midlands (Birmingham, Wolverhampton) and the South (London, Reading, Brighton) making it the biggest event of its kind. In 2008 there will be over 300 nights of live music involving over 5,000 musicians from across the UK. For bands that reach the final stages of the festival, both Surface Unsigned and our sponsors will award the best musicians with prizes, studio time and endorsement deals.

NEW RECORDING - Lilygun will be cooking up a magnanimous creation and putting out their first single in February. The band are set to record in a studio in Camden with a rather special producer. Fans will be able to purchase it online or at gigs.

LILYGUN ON SALE - Also still available to buy at forthcoming gigs for £5 only and for a limited time only, is the Lilygun Live + Unplugged Cd. This unique recording was made on the night of Lilygun's unplugged gig at Storm last year and due to the success of the evening, there's been a high demand for Cds so make sure you get your copy fast!
